Igor Syvets — Product Designer & Engineer
My name is Igor Syvets. I'm a product designer and engineer with more than 14 years of experience. Originally from Odesa, Ukraine, I now live in New York City. Aside from my day-to-day work, I enjoy cooking, making videos, and photography.
Work
- Postman — I make products for three sides of the API ecosystem: companies distributing their APIs, developers discovering and adopting them, and AI agents helping both.
- Rewod — Rewod is a SaaS gym platform that I designed and developed from zero. Coaches use it to program workouts and run events; athletes track progress and motivate each other.
- InfoNgen — As design lead for InfoNgen, an AI text analytics platform, I led a five-person design team through its end-to-end redesign and beyond. I set the product vision and design direction, guided research and usability testing, and collaborated with cross-functional stakeholders.

Writing
- Behind the Brand of Postman's APIGTM Conference, November 2025 — What do NASA's 1975 standards manual, Death Star plans, and a three-day deadline have in common? They all shaped the identity for Postman's APIGTM conference.
- Why NYC Subway Branding Works, October 2025 — What makes the NYC subway branding work so well with just three simple components: subway bullets, Helvetica, and the stripe.
- Accessible Rainbow, 2025 — How I approached layout, color theory, and accessibility when designing the Postman Publisher Analytics page.
- The Law of Proximity in Design, February 2026 — The Law of Proximity might be the most underrated principle in design. The more related things are, the closer they should be. In this deep dive, I share how proximity works across different scales: from full-page layouts to micro-components like social posts and forms.
Off-Work
- Misc Projects — A collection of playful websites, small experiments, and ideas.
- When Claude Started Calling, May 2025 — I (sort of) taught Claude how to make phone calls. And it got weird.
- Building a Trend Analytics Tool in 24 Hours, Feb 2025 — An AI-powered Twitter/X analytics tool with trend categorization and audio briefings, built in 24 hours at the ElevenLabs x a16z hackathon.
- Building a World Simulation, Jan 2026 (In Progress) — A text-based world simulation where every interaction with the environment is interpreted and shaped by a large language model.
